Thank You from Gary & Kathy Robinson

Kathleen and I are touched by the gifts presented to us following our last rehearsal of the calendar year, December 18. A basket and a gift bag brimmed over with home-baked goods, sweet treats, coffees & teas, gift cards, and tempting indulgences, all designed to make our holidays more delightful. These generous offerings, given by members of the orchestra and their families, and collected by the GCYO Association, conveyed a love and admiration that leaves us humbled and grateful. More fundamentally, however, they convey something about the culture of Greenville County Youth Orchestras, one that is exemplified by kindness, consideration, cooperation, and mutual regard. These qualities have been a consistent part of GCYO since my arrival 25 years ago. It has been and continues to be our honor to contribute to this culture: reward enough, in and of itself.
