FAC Flutist Merritt Huff Wins Scholarship

Fine Arts Center flutist Merritt Huff (Riverside High School, 11) won first place in the Division 2 (high school woodwind players) scholarship audition sponsored by the Music Teacher Association of Greenville. The competition took place on the campus of Bob Jones University on Saturday, April 17th. For winning first place, Merrit (who studies the flute with area teacher/performer Mary AllyeB Purtle) will receive $200, which can be used for summer lessons.
