Former GCYO Concert Master and Fine Arts Center student Chloe Robinson (Greenville HS, 2004) served as soloist with Greenville's Foothills Philharmonic on Saturday, February 17th. Performng to a sold-out house at the Peace Center's Dorothy Gunter Theater, Chloe and FP members gave a stirring reading of Gian Carlo Menotti's Violin Concerto. The performance, conducted by Gary Robinson, was significant not only because it marked the South Carolina premier of the concerto, but also because Mr. Menotti passed away in early February. Chloe returned to Oberlic College following the performance (she is in her 3rd year as a violin performance major there) only to be flown out to New your City for a performance with Oberlin's Contempotary Music Ensemble at Columbia University's Miller Theater.
