Getting Ready for the Recital!

Doesn’t Percussion II student Masin Decker look pleased with himself as he prepares for our May 10th Percussion & Brass recital? We hope that his smile means that he has practiced his snare drum solo, his drum set work, and his mallet solo VERY DILIGENTLY over spring break! Masin, along with ALL of my other instrumental students are expected to be able to get through (and will be graded on) each of the works they will perform during classes this week. Having thus achieved control of these pieces, students will spend the next three-and-a-half weeks getting them up to performance tempo and otherwise readying them for performance.
