their national conference in Atlanta on June 16th.  They were chosen over
other youth orchestras in the southeast based on our submission of an
application and recording of selections from their outstanding performance
at the recent fall concert.

The LAO is a national association with over 950 Orchestra Members, including
youth, collegiate, community and professional, and over 500 business
partners who benefit from being members of the League of American
Orchestras. This conference is the National Conference for the orchestra
industry in America.  YAO is being asked to perform as part of the opening
session attended by every delegate attending the conference, about 1000
people - who represent about 400 orchestras across the country, including
the NY Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, etc. as well as
youth orchestras.
