GCYO Young Artist Concert No. 3

Greenville County Youth Orchestra performed its final Young Artist Concert for the 2006-2007 season on Tuesday, April 17th at the Peace Center's Dorothy Gunter Theater. The concert featured solos by two of the orchestra’s seniors.  Meredyth Bowden will perform the Cello Concerto No. 1, Op. 49 by Dmitri Kabalevsky.  She is a senior at the Fine Arts Center and Easley High School.  Matthew Hayes will perform the Saxophone Concerto in E Flat: Alexander Glazounow (1865 – 1936).  He is a senior at Riverside High School.  Other selections included The Number of Things by Jon Jeffrey Grier; Rossini’s William Tell Overture and Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture by Peter Illich Tschaikovsky.
